  2. I found this resource very useful. I have been guilty of making some of the mistakes shown in it. It will help me to avoid any future writing mistakes. Moving onto today's activity, it was very helpful. We learned how to make a strong introduction to a thesis statement. I wish I had learned this earlier before the test. I will be definitely be utilizing these strategies in my future essays.

  3. It is very easy to make mistakes when writing an essay such as grammatical, mechanical, or punctuation errors. When a person is writing an essay it is easy to overlook simple mistakes because they are focusing on putting their ideas in the essay. It is very useful to have the essay reviewed so that the author has a chance to change their simple mistakes. After fixing these mistakes, it will be easier for the reader to understand and relate to the topic in the essay. It is always wise to revise and look over an essay to correct simple mistakes that can make the essay better.

  4. I found it useful because I got to write better. The more I practice on my writing will help me in the near future. Always revise and recursive your answer. Always correct your answer and question. Rewrite the mistake to make it sound better. Always keep yourself on top. Never give up on any subject because writing is everywhere from school to work.

It's important to show your mistakes when revising so that you can focus on what not to make a mistake on next time. In today's activity was enlightening.     2. I agree with you. I, too, often commit this mistake while writing an essay. Although my previous teachers didn't really marked it wrong, I know now that to its best to avoid mentioning a sex to avoid confusion of the reader.

  7. Those common mistakes of English grammar, mechanics, and punctuation are very easily found all throughout essays. This website is very helpful in checking any errors you have made in your essay. Today's class went by well. We were able to practice stage 1 and 2 on the topic we chose. The essay brain stretcher was also a great activity, that involved my person thoughts on the picture.

  8. I found the resource given very useful. As I read through, I notice that many of these mistakes listed are majority of the common mistakes I make. One I am most guilty of is unnecessary commas, I often put way too many commas in unneeded parts of my essay. All in all I enjoyed today's activity because I was able to do and also share my first and second stage activities.

    3. I agree, the source is very useful. My biggest mistake is not ever putting commas in my sentences. It has always been a struggle of mine not knowing where to insert a comma in my sentences. It is simple but can be very big when writing an essay.

  9. I really think that this is a very useful resource. I always have a hard time wording and punctuating my sentences accordingly, especially during the writing and revision process. This resource has helped clear out a lot of my common mistakes and errors, and I think I will be looking at this resource for future reference. Besides learning about common writing mistakes, we also tried doing the first two stages of the writing process. I have previously done these two stages at home, but it is very different doing it at school. I hope I could be able to do all three processes in the future.

    1. The given resource was indeed a good reference in the future when revising and editting our essays. Like you, I also have a hard time with punctuations. I always confuse as to where and when should I place them in a sentence. In today's class activity where we have to perform the two stages of writing, I had a hard time writing because I guess the environment is different. I'm so used to writing at home where there is no time limit, but I am trying my best to perform well in class activities.

  10. I found this resource to be useful for my future essays. This resource will help me improve on my mistakes that I commonly make on my essays in the past. I will use this resource to guide me whenever I am having some awkwardness and struggles on my essay.
    Today's activities includes the reading of Leah's essay which is on "The Prison Sweat Lodge" and the writing stages for writing the essay. The writing stages will be useful for writing my future essay especially when I am having a hard time organizing my thoughts about the essay. In addition to today's activities we also did the essay brain stretcher and found out our grades for test #1.

  13. Does a free write or a rough draft always have to be as grammatically incorrect as Leah's essays? I find that inefficient, and she could have tried harder the first time. However, her final draft was written well. I understand what this lesson was trying to convey, but a lot of those steps could be bypassed with one good draft.

  14. The reading we did in class was very helpful. Brainstorming makes writing a first draft more easy. A lot of times we make mistakes. Stage two helps us make a better final draft, just like Leah's. These are very helpful for the future.

  15. This resource helped me realize how difficult the writing process can be. To create an effective essay, so many factors need to be considered and edited. The transformation from the first draft to the the final draft really amazed me. This resource highlighted why the writing process was so important and how it can be used to create an amazing essay.
