Reading and writing going hand in hand. Reading and writing are important factors in everything we do from class, to work and also our personal lives. In class and work we do assignments and at home during personal time we text, email, etc. When you read you develop your writing and when you write you develop your reading. Reading and writing is kind of like the question which came first the chicken or the egg.
ReplyDeleteI loved how you pointed out that your interpretation is similar to the question about the egg or the chicken. It really made me think.
DeleteExactly :)
DeleteI love the question on which came first. I believe writing came first because there had to be something to read in the first place. Both skills work together to improve both reading and writing skills!
DeleteYes, they are truly an important factors that we use in our daily life
DeleteBoth skills are necessary in our daily lives. It is hard to imagine without it. Both skills work together in perfect harmony. One cannot go over the other.
Deletevery good explanation, I couldn't agree more. Its what we use everyday to do everything.
DeleteI totally agree. I never thought about it that way, but it's true.
DeleteI agree with your example.
DeleteI couldn't agree more!
DeleteI was lost with the whole chicken and egg thing. Then, I was like OH. Kind of had a brain fart for a moment there.
DeleteYou can't learn without reading or writing. Reading gives you the knowledge you need to learn and writing gives you the ability to write down your knowledge. When you use these two skills, you can create the ability to think, brainstorm, and more.
ReplyDeleteRae, you said it. You can't learn without reading and writing !!! I pretty much agree with you !!!!
DeleteI agree! We cannot learn without both skills. It is so essential in today's society to have great reading and writing skills. Reading and Writing definitely helps you brainstorm and such.
DeleteI agree with you
DeleteI agree that you cant, you technically have the mind of a baby. If you don't have reading and writing skills.
DeleteThis is so true.
DeleteI do agree with you. Both abilities are important.
DeleteI agree. You need both in order to learn.
DeleteWriting is essential.
DeleteLike everyone else, I agree with your statement.
DeleteI agree with what you're saying.
DeleteReading and writing go hand in hand because of course you need one to be able to do the other. They do approve your ability to think because as you write you are thinking of what you're going to write next, and as you read you are thinking about what you're reading.
ReplyDeleteYepp:) you need one to be able to do the other. Well-said sister:)
DeleteAgreed. They work with each other. Writing does not only improve your writing skills, but also helps improve your reading skills! They are both so important.
DeleteI agree. Both skill does improve your knowledge. That knowledge can go beyond our potential with reading and writing skills. They work together in harmony and cannot live without them.
DeleteI agree, it is real easy just to get down the basics of reading, writing, and the thinking part is just common sense, when you want to write what do you do before you even write.. YOU THINK
DeleteI strongly agree. you have to think before you do.
DeleteI agree. While using one, you will then have to use the other.
DeleteAgreed without the other it is impossible.
DeleteI agree. While doing one you are focusing mainly on what you are doing.
DeleteI agree. Each of these skills go hand in hand.
DeleteReading and Writing go hand in hand. This is because if you know how to read, then you know how to write, its the other way around. You need to be able to write to know how to read. The quote above pretty much says it all, reading and writing works together to improve the ability to think.
ReplyDeleteReading and writing definitely work together to improve thinking. Both these skills are important to have!
Deleteoh yes terek. i like your point
DeleteGreat interpretation! I like how you put it plain and simple.
DeleteReading and writing go hand in hand because one cannot exist without the other. Writing does not only improve your writing skills, but also your reading skills as well! Reading and writing are so important in our everyday lives and I can't see us living with them both.
ReplyDeleteTodays activities were awesome. We posted in our moodle page, and BlogSpot page. I cannot believe the semesters already ending! Im going to miss you all!
Deleteso true. i like it when you say one cannot exist without the other.
DeleteIndeed. It is impossible to live without one or the other. Writing, reading, thinking, and communication must be an essential skill. I am surprise that this semester flies by fast. This is a fun class.
DeleteVery true! In order to make both of the terms exist, they must both be present. I can't believe this semester is coming to an end as well. It is crazy how time goes by so fast!
DeleteTRUE THAT MAN SPEAK THE TRUTH lol. Couldn't agree more, we are not living if we don't know how to read or write or even think. I mean come on how else would you know what kind of ice cream you want.
DeleteI agree one cannot exist without the other
DeleteReading, writing and thinking are all important. It's going to be difficult at times but it's never impossible.
DeleteI agree. You cannot do one without doing the other.
DeleteI agree. This is important for our everyday lives.
DeleteMan, it's like you took the words right out of my mind.
DeleteReading and writing hand in hand. to interpret this I would say that the by reading it helps you to develop your skills on writing. For instance, it helps you to be familiar in terms that you haven't heard or read before. It also helps you on grammar skills and gives you idea. While writing it helps you to think. Because when you write you actually think of things you want to write about..
ReplyDeleteToday's activity is really helpful. While I'm doing this I am actually reading, writing, and thinking.
Very well said. Reading does help develop writing skills and visversa. I like the idea that both skills does help get knowledge of a term. This is a necessity for society.
DeleteWriting does help you think. It definitely helps you on grammar skills and ideas!
DeleteReading and writing is essential on a daily basis. It is impossible to apply one over the other. Like the quote said, you learn to write and get better at reading ,and visversa. Through our lives, reading and writing is the first step to learn, apply, and experience the daily activities around you. Internationally, it is required to learn and apply both reading and writing skills no matter what language it is. Without one, you cannot do the other. Without both, you would not get far in life.
ReplyDeleteIt is impossible to apply it one over the other! It is true that you can't get far in life without reading and writing.
DeleteThats true they are both equally important.
DeleteWell said!
DeleteReading, writing, and thinking is what we are born to do. It is very important because with out those skills you technically have a mind of a baby. How else would you find a job, how else would you apply for school, how else would you understand the laws of a federal government. Basically we use these skills every second of every day. My thoughts on todays activities were simple. Work, attack, and move on. Good moodle session if that's what your asking about todays activities and also a good blog mind attack. My personal quote of the day.
ReplyDeleteExactly, we do use these skills everyday. When is there ever a time where we aren't thinking. Aside from when we are asleep. Very good point.
DeleteIm sorry but you do not have to use "how else" repeatedly.
DeleteReading, writing, and thinking go hand in hand. These three things are important because they are required in every works. With reading and writing, I would be able to suggest various topics, minor and major details on topic. Today's ability was confusing for me little bit but it was meaningful. I had a problem to understand what argument is. However, I could remind what argument is by today's activity.
ReplyDeleteThis quote is simple but has a lot of meaning to it. we must learn to read before we learn to write. vice versa, in order to succeed we must know how to read, write and think. without the knowledge of reading, writing and thinking we will not be able to make it in to good schools, get great jobs and help our children develop great knowledge and improve for the future.
ReplyDeleteVery true. Reading and writing need to be learned together, in order to improve each other.
DeleteI certainly agree with the quote. By reading books or other people's work, you learn from their style and technique or writing. Then, by writing, sometimes you have to use other words so you look up synonyms. By doing that, you are broadening your vocabulary so that when you read, you know more words that may come up in your book. With reading and writing, you have to think of what the author is trying to say and also think of things to write about. In doing that, you are exercising you mind.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Reading different works help us to find a specific style of writing to be our framework.
DeleteThis quote could not be more true. With every step this increases your ability to write better. Although not everybody loves to read it's very important because reading increases vocabulary. And with better vocabulary you can write well written essays. I'm not the best at writing but I love to read. Hopefully, I can improve my writing skills.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Reading expands our knowledge of different terms, which help us write better.
DeleteThis quote means that through both of these skills you can improve one or the other. Both reading and writing work hand in hand because they both compliment and enhance the ability of the other. In order to write better you need to read more often and in order to read better you need to improve your writing skills.
ReplyDeleteThat is true. Reading and reading improves one another.
DeleteI agree. Good interpretation of the quote.
DeleteI agree. Both reading and writing enhance one another's skills.
DeleteReading and writing is a union. Both blend well together. Reading and writing improves together. Reading often tends to enhance writing skills. Writing often helps with reading. Both need each other to work together harmoniously.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Reading and writing improve together. If you're an effective reader then you'll be an effective writer.
DeleteMy opinion on what this quote means to me has everything to do with imagination and creativity. " You learn to write better by reading..." Reading something that captures and intrigues your thoughts and influences your pen to paper are ways I believe reading and writing go hand in hand with each other. Reading and writing are our greatest gifts to communicate with each other.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you defined that quote. You do learn to write better by reading. Writing about something that captures your thoughts from reading explains why they work hand in hand.
DeleteReading, writing and thinking definitely go hand in hand because they feed off of each other. In other words, writing is thinking and reading and writing encourages us to think. You also cannot write if you do not know how to read. It is an essential part of every individual's lives.
ReplyDeleteThats a great example. We are not able to write if we are unable to read. That pretty much explains it all.
DeleteIn order to become a effective writer you must be an effective reader. They go hand in hand. We are unable to think and write about a topic unless we read what it is we are going to write about.
